Boston Bruins Bolster Farm Team with One-Year, Two-Way Signing

As the Bruins aim to strengthen their farm team and enhance depth in the main roster, General Manager Don Sweeney demonstrates astute cap management by securing promising lower-level players who can contribute to the team's improvement.

In line with this strategy, the Boston Bruins have officially inked Parker Wotherspoon to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775K, including a $500K AHL split.

While the 6'1 defenseman has only appeared in 12 NHL games, tallying a single point, he has primarily thrived at the AHL level, accumulating over 200 games with the Bridgeport Islanders.

Wotherspoon's career has experienced ups and downs, but he showcased his potential during his standout years in 2018-19 and 2019-20. Notably, he registered 23 points in 64 games during the former season and continued his strong play with 27 points in 62 games in the latter.

At 25 years old, Wotherspoon still possesses considerable room for development, and Providence provides an ideal environment for him to progress further.
