The Boston Bruins have shared the news of the passing of their former captain, Ed Sandford, at the age of 95.



Specifics regarding his passing are currently limited.


During his nine-year NHL career, Ed Sandford played 502 games and contributed 251 points. Much of his time was spent with the Bruins, where he served as captain during the 1954-55 season.

Ed Sandford also made appearances with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. Our heartfelt condolences are extended to Ed Sandford's family during this challenging time.
