Fans of Brad Marchand were taken aback when they discovered that he had deactivated his Twitter account, but it turns out there was a solid explanation for it.
Not Worth the Payments
Following Thursday's morning skate, Marchand took on the role of Bruins' coach and shared updates with the media. The winger talked about various subjects, such as Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno's injuries, and naturally, the reason behind his Twitter account deletion.
As reported by Conor Ryan from Boston.com, Marchand shared an amusing rationale:
"My two-step verification got taken away, so I thought, you know what — I'll get out now while I can."
"I'll probably be back on at some point — if I'm bored and want to poke fun at someone."
Even though we won't see any entertaining remarks from Marchand on social media for now, let's hope he continues to provide us with memorable moments like this one.
