No one has climbed the ranks of the Bruins' prospects quite like goaltender Brandon Bussi, and last night, he demonstrated his prowess with Providence on the verge of elimination.
Entering the AHL playoffs as Atlantic Division Champions, Providence enjoyed a first-round bye. Yet, they found themselves trailing 2-0 in a best-of-five series against the underdog Hartford Wolf Pack leading up to Wednesday's game three.
With Providence holding a narrow 4-3 lead late in the third period, Bussi pulled off not only the most incredible save of the playoffs but possibly the entire season. In doing so, he may have singlehandedly kept their season afloat.
