Boston has already set a new NHL record for the best regular season in terms of total wins and points. Nonetheless, multiple sources report that Montgomery isn't giving any of his key/regular players a rest.
Matt Porter from The Boston Globe says it was the leadership's idea:
Montgomery announced that Jeremy Swayman will start over AHL All-Star Brandon Bussi to keep him sharp for the playoffs. There's no cause for concern, as they expect Linus Ullmark to be fine as well.
Based on reports, the Bruins lineup is anticipated to resemble the following:
Marchand-Bergeron-DeBrusk
Bertuzzi-Zacha-Pastrnak
Hall-Coyle-Lauko
Greer-Frederic-Hathaway
Orlov-McAvoy
Lindholm-Carlo
Grzelcyk-Clifton
A noteworthy aspect to watch is Trent Frederic at the fourth line center, as there will be stiff competition for a depth lineup spot on the Bruins.
The only concern about all the regulars participating in a game that essentially holds no significance for either Boston or Montreal is the risk of injuries. Since the game doesn't matter to both teams, maybe it won't get rough.
We'll have to wait and see, though, as these two rivals go way back!
