In spite of the Boston Bruins surrendering their 3-2 lead late last night against their rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs, at Scotiabank Arena, they ultimately secured victory thanks to captain Brad Marchand's goal in overtime.
David Pastrnak, known for his scoring prowess, not only scored but also assisted Marchand's game-winning goal in overtime. Pastrnak had a chance to score initially with a backhand attempt on goaltender Joseph Woll, which was saved. However, Pastrnak swiftly retrieved the puck and set up Marchand at the side of the net, resulting in a thrilling winning goal past the diving Woll.
