Peter Chiarelli, a well-known NHL manager and Stanley Cup winner, is making a comeback with the Ottawa Senators.

His history with the Senators, where he started his NHL career in 1999 and rose through the ranks, adds intrigue to this return.

Chiarelli's notable tenure in Ottawa eventually led him to the Boston Bruins, where he played a key role in their 2011 Stanley Cup victory.

However, Chiarelli's time with the Edmonton Oilers, marked by controversial decisions, posed challenges.

Now, his return to Canada, after a brief stint with the St. Louis Blues, brings questions about his role with the Senators, given his rapport with the team's owner and the GM's precarious position. Chiarelli's presence in Ottawa's front office is set to create an interesting dynamic.
