Matthew Poitras was poised to rejoin the Boston Bruins earlier than anticipated after Canada's unexpected exit from the IIHF World Junior Championship in Sweden. Jim Montgomery added Poitras to tonight's lineup alongside Trent Frederic and Danton Heinen.
During the second period, Poitras made an excellent pass to complete his play while receiving a heavy hand/forearm to the face. Frederic ended up scoring. Poitras had already returned to the ice, playing with a tissue in his nose.
