The Boston Bruins were met with encouraging news regarding injuries today, including an update on experienced player Nick Foligno.
Foligno sustained a lower-body injury during the game against the Flames on February 28th and has been sidelined ever since.
Coach's Update
This morning, Foligno was back at practice wearing a non-contact jersey, accompanied by Taylor Hall. After the session, head coach Jim Montgomery provided an update, as reported by Joe Haggerty from Boston Hockey Now:
''It's just great to have him out there. He just brings so much energy and positive energy to the group always. You could see he was just excited to be back out there,'' said Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery. ‘'It's good that he's starting to make progress toward being an option for us, which is good.''
The 34-year-old player has had an incredible improvement this season, collecting 10 goals and 16 assists in 60 games for the Bruins.
