Patrice Bergeron, who has been absent from the lineup since the initial period of the Bruins' regular-season finale, offered an update on his condition on Tuesday.
Leadership on Ice
Despite not participating in Boston's first-round series against the Florida Panthers, the team captain joined his teammates on the ice for the first time today.
Conor Ryan from Boston.com reported that Bergeron disclosed some encouraging information about his persistent injury. Ryan stated:
''Today is a good day and we'll see tomorrow ... I'm not anticipating any setbacks. So far, so good.'' - Bergeron
Although Bergeron anticipated being part of the roster for game five, Jim Montgomery was more cautious about the veteran's readiness.
He mentioned that there are still 'a couple' of boxes to check before a decision is made.
''First practice with the team; we'll see how he is tomorrow morning.''
Jimmy Murphy from Boston Hockey Now attended the Bruins' morning practice session at Warrior Ice Arena and posted a video of Bergeron interacting with his teammates.
Interpret it as you wish, but he seems prepared for postseason hockey!
