There's no denying that Patrice Bergeron is among the NHL's finest, and this Sunday's game seven could see him etch his name in the history books.
A New Record on the Horizon
The Bruins' captain has an impressive list of accomplishments under his belt, and now he's set to possibly equal the NHL record held by his predecessor, Zdeno Chara. Patrick Donnelly of Boston Sports Journal shared the news:
"Tonight, Patrice Bergeron will play in his 14th career Game 7, tying him with Zdeno Chara for the most in NHL history."
Bergeron's track record in game sevens is 6-7 for Boston. Notably, David Krejci (6-5) and Brad Marchand (6-4) are also among the top ten active NHL skaters with at least six game-seven victories.
