Two years ago on this day, the hockey world mourned the loss of Jimmy Hayes at the age of 31.

Shane O'Brian, the host of the Missin' Curfew podcast, shared his thoughts on Jimmy Hayes:
Before making his mark in the NHL, Jimmy Hayes honed his skills at Boston College University in the NCAA. He was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft.
Throughout his career, he contributed to various teams. He spent three seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, two with the Florida Panthers, two with the Boston Bruins, and his final year with the New Jersey Devils in 2018. In a total of 334 games, Jimmy Hayes recorded 54 goals and 55 assists, amounting to 109 points.
Rest in peace, Jimmy. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of hockey fans everywhere.
