Significant Update Regarding Charlie McAvoy

With the major announcement regarding Taylor Hall, the Boston Bruins also shared an important update about defenseman Charlie McAvoy, who experienced an injury scare on Thursday.

Contrary to expectations, head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed that McAvoy is set to play in tonight's game against New Jersey.

During the second period of Thursday night's match against the Maple Leafs, McAvoy sustained an injury and did not return.

Fortunately, it was revealed after the game that he was held out as a precaution, and his status was considered day-to-day. With only four games left in the season, it seemed likely he would be getting some well-earned rest.

In 64 games this season, the 25-year-old has collected 7 goals and 50 points, and that's following offseason shoulder surgery.
