Bruins defenseman's career takes a turn for the worse after recent announcement
Bruins former defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk is looking like his playing days in the NHL are over as he still does not have a contract.
Shattenkirk stated at the end of the season that he wants to continue playing but at his age and the fact that he is no longer the player he once was, the chances of him landing a contract are very slim.
What's next for one of the more experienced defenders still available on the UFA market?
While there is still some time before training camp begins for Shattenkirk to sign somewhere the chances are slim, the best he will likely be able to land is a professional tryout.
