Bruins fans were not happy with the release with the upcoming 2024 pre season schedule as were many other fans.
Gary Bettman has decided to make the pre-season longer so that teams have more time to prepare for the season.
The @NHL announced the 2024-25 composite preseason schedule, a 15-day, 106-game slate played across 40 NHL and neutral-site venues in North America and Europe from Sept. 21 to Oct. 5.
The pre season will be 106 games over 15 days from September 21st to October 5th which will push the beginning of the regular season to the second week of October, which is a week later than usual.
Fans have taken to social media to voice their displeasure with this new format as they believe the pre season should be shorter and the regular season should begin October 1st.
