Bruins going after one of the Senators stars
The Senators acquired superstar forward Claude Giroux from the Flyers but unfortunately his time with his hometown has not gone to plan.
Giroux has been in Ottawa for two years now but the team has failed to make the playoffs either year despite insiders believing they have the talent to do so.
The Hockey News sees Giroux as a prime trade candidate for this season as he does not have many years left and is still chasing a Stanley Cup.
They are hoping that the summer addition of star goaltender Linus Ullmark will make them into a playoff team. However, if improving between the pipes still isn't enough, Giroux could become a very popular name in the rumor mill when we get closer to the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline
The Bruins are still looking for a winger to replace Jake Debrusk and Giroux might be a perfect fit.
