As the NHL inches closer two concluding its season, many NHL teams are in the doldrums of the season where numerous teams who are in a playoff position would like to finish things off as quick as possible and playing more meaningful hockey.
In the case for the Bruins it seems since the All-Star break, the team has been playing rather poorly at times and have not strung many wins together.
Slow starts and costly errors in the third seem to be the script these days for the Bruins and this was the case against the Philadelphia Flyers.
As the playoffs continued to draw closer, there should be a sense of urgency from the team and head coach Jim Montgomery to clean up their game and to play more like the team they were earlier on this season. One thing that fans have become accustomed to is dominant Bruins teams and it seemed this year has not been the case.
