During this years Stanley Cup Playoffs, David Pastrnak secured the final blow to the Toronto Maple Leafs as he scored the game winning goal in game 7 to send the Bruins to the 2nd round.
As a major initiative to grow the game of hockey, the NHL conducts a European media tour ever year where Pastrnak took part. During an interview he was asked about the Boston bruins regular season and their win over the Maple Leafs and revealed that they were underdogs that beat a better team.
"We proved a lot of people wrong, last year. We were not even supposed to make the playoffs. We beat a better team on paper." - David Pastrnak
With the major changes the Bruins have gone through tis offseason, there are mixed opinion on if they improved or downgraded their lineup up from last season.
