During last night's NHL on TNT broadcast, Wayne Gretzky told the story of his first experience playing against Bruins legend Zdeno Chara.

The Great One said he noticed him in warm ups and told his coach to put him on the ice whenever Chara was out there as he was still figuring out how to properly move his body as Gretzky said he was a little like Bambi. However, the following season, Gretzky told his coach to pull him off the ice whenever Chara was out there because he had figured his agility issues out and was now quite the threat skating around at 7 feet tall.

"Gretz has an ALL-TIME story about playing against Zdeno Chara for the first time."

Chara has said it himself that it took him a few years to figure out how to properly use his body on the ice being as he is so massive but clearly he figured it out. The former Bruins captain would go on to win the Norris trophy while also adding a Stanley Cup ring to his collection of hardware.
