With Linus Ullmark Being traded, The Boston Bruins number 1 focus has turned to signing an extension with Jeremy Swayman but it seems the negations have taken a negative turn.

General Manager Don Sweeny states that it is there number one priority to get Swayman signed, but by what he said, the talks have not gone to plan as of late.

Don Sweeney on contract talks with Jeremy Swayman:

"It's a priority for us to continue to have discussions necessary to get Jeremy under contract. We'll continue to do that.

"And we've been doing that and we'll hopefully find it in due course. Because that's the priority."

The deal is very important as they no longer have a goalie tandem to fall back on, the Bruins have put all their eggs in one basket with Swayman, and if they can't agree on a number, Boston will be in deep, deep trouble.

The 25-year-old has just come off completing a 1-year deal worth $3.475 million and after a marvelous season , Swayman's camp is expecting a number around $6 million AAV for 8 years. He appeared in 44 games this season and achieved a record of 25-10-8 with a Goals Against Average of 2.53 and a save percentage % of .916 with 3 shutouts.

Would you sign Jeremy Swayman for $6 Million x 8-years?
