Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney has provided encouraging update on the status of Bruins captain Brad Marchand, pointing the possibility of Marchand return to action in the next few days.

Sweeney said that Brad Marchand skated this morning and will travel to Florida.

Still day-to-day.

Sweeney confirmed that Marchand hit the ice this morning and will be accompanying the team on their trip to Florida. Although Marchand's status remains day-to-day, this development is a positive sign for the Boston Bruins.
Marchand, captain for the Bruins, sustained an injury during Game 3 and was sidelined for Game 4 of the series. His absence was felt by the team, as they ended up dropping both of those games.

With the series heading back to Florida, Marchand's travelling with the team suggest that he may return to game action.
