Montgomery spoke to the media ahead of tonight's game against the Flyers mentioning he will be likely playing Peeke and Lohrei together.
The Bruins head coach mentioned how they tested the pairing in practice and it seems to look good. He figured a solid physical defenseman paired with a puck moving one that has a lot of defensive capabilities will fit nicely together.
Jim Montgomery on looking at the Lohrei and Peeke pairing: "I'm not one hundred percent...we wanted to see it in practice today...ideally, it looks good, right? A guy that's stiff and physical, against a guy that's a puck mover and more offensive guy with a more defensive mind."
If they are successful in the game tonight, this pairing can truly help the Bruins blue line as they have struggled this year in their zone.
