New reports reveal Draisaitl will not be returning to Edmonton
According to a recent report, the Oilers want to make Leon Draisaitl an 8 year offer but the star forward is not interested in that long of a term.
Insider David Pagnotta believes Draisaitl is more interested in a 3-5 year contract, similar to what Auston Matthews just signed.
Unless something's changed since the start of the playoffs, it's more likely to see a Auston Matthews-esque type of extension . . . anywhere from a three to five year extension versus a full eight.

Hopefully the Oilers and Draisaitl disagree on the term forcing him to go look elsewhere and the Bruins could enter the conversation, this is a stretch but still possible.
