According to the Jones and Keefe podcast, they released the reason why the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman are so far off on making a deal.

They said that Swayman and his agent are looking at a number way higher than disclosed before, and instead of a number in the ballpark of $8-million it was released they are looking upwards of $10-million AAV.
This marks a major problem for GM Don Sweeny and the Bruins as they only have a little over $8-million in cap space, meaning the term will have to be longer or Swayman will have to take a deal to say a Bruin.
There are only a handful of goalies that get a contract that high, and no doubt Swayman is an elite starter in the NHL but he does have limited experience being the main guy, so to demand that high of a number right away is unprecedented.
We will have to see how this turn out because he is not worth $10-million in our opinion. What do you think, does Swayman deserve a $10-miilion AAV contract?
