The Bruins announced this morning that they have sent Derek Forbort down to the Providence Bruins of the AHL.
Forbort has been out with an injury as of late and the Bruins have decided to send him to the AHL on a conditioning loan.

The 32 year-old defenseman has struggled this season and although it may only be for conditioning, their is always a chance that he remains there as their defense has been playing very well without him in the lineup.
