Near the trade deadline there was a lot of speculation as to if Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark would be traded.
A few days after the deadline, there were reports that the Bruins had a trade in place to send Ullmark to the Kings but the Bruins netminder was able to veto the trade since the Kings were on his no-trade list.
It turns out that Ullmark decided to refuse the trade because he believes the Bruins have a better chance at winning the cup this year.
Nick Kypreos mentions that both Ullmark and Markstrom blocked trades to @LAKings. #GoKingsGo
On paper, it is certain that Ullmark seems to be right as the Bruins sit first in the East but they will need to prove themselves in the playoffs after last season.
