Maple Leafs seemingly get snaked by one of their latest signings

Firstly, Hakanpaa was injured when he got signed, and with the defenseman not being added to the team's roster, there was this sense that the Leafs were iffy on him from the jump. Even reporter Steve Simmonds threw caution to the wind on Hakanpaa, even though the Leafs were saying he was good to go.

Recently, Hakanpaa was spotted at an event where he was wearing a Dallas Stars jersey. Of course, this was the most recent team that Hakanpaa played with.

This has subsequently led to a bit of a conundrum for the Leafs. No one has said anything about Hakanpaa's status. That said, the fact that he is wearing a Stars jersey would suggest his time in the NHL might be over. Only time will tell what happens next.
