The Tampa Bay Lightning faced a challenging night on Thursday as they experienced a significant injury to one of their latest additions, just before the playoffs.
Should the Lightning Be Worried?
While playing against the New York Islanders, the Lightning's newly acquired Tanner Jeannot sustained a severe-looking injury in the second period. See the incident here:
Tampa not only lost Jeannot for the remainder of the game, but head coach Jon Cooper also mentioned that the forward's injury is "worrisome" at first look.
Furthermore, Chris Johnston from TSN reported that Jeannot's injury isn't the only one for the three-time Eastern Conference champions, as they're accumulating multiple at an inopportune moment.
''The injuries are piling up for #TBLightning, with Anthony Cirelli, Brandon Hagel, Tanner Jeannot, Pat Maroon and Erik Cernak all currently on the sidelines.''
Could this finally be the year the Toronto Maple Leafs win a round?
