Gary Bettman is really not pleased with Connor Bedard as the Chicago Blackhawks star just became the nest official athlete for Gatorade.
This is not a good look for Bettman or the NHL as it contradicts the current brand relationship the league has with the sports drink company, BODYARMOR.

Having one of your biggest stars in the NHL partner with a rival
Fans can expect to see Bedard only drinking from a Gatorade bottle in his hand, which is not what Bettman or the league wants. He will also be in Gatorade's marketing campaigns, increasing his visibility and marketability.
The main hit is to Bettmans pockets as it really doesn't affect anyone else.
