It is reported that former Boston Bruin Marc Savard is set to join the Toronto Maple Leafs coaching staff. The Maple Leafs have already fired their head coach Sheldon Keefe and replaced him with Craig Berube, who won the Stanley Cup as a head coach with the St. Louis Blues.

There are reports that the Maple Leafs will make changes to the roster and evidentially they are making coaching changes. One of the issues for the Maple Leafs in the playoffs was their power play. Hiring Savard can greatly improve their power play as he was a great playmaker during his playing career.

#Flames have parted ways with assistant coach Marc Savard.

Recently, Savard was let go by the Calgary Flames and their coaching staff and he was since linked to Berube and the Maple Leafs. If Savard is indeed hired by the Maple Leafs, we can see if he can fix their playoff woes.
