Over in The KHL, the are already experimenting with new rule that decreases the unfair advantages of puck possession that 3 on 3 enables.
The KHL is testing a new rule in its Junior Hockey League (MHL) that penalizes teams for excessive puck possession in the defensive zone during overtime. Under this rule, if a team skates the puck out of the offensive zone and into its own, it receives a warning for the first violation.
after the first violation, teams will receive a penalty for delay of game, the rule is to unsure constant actions and and to prevent stalling from teams.
