The new team in Utah gives details on their new name
News broke yesterday that the board of governors have unanimously voted yes on the Coyotes relocating to Salt Lake City for next season.
As soon as news broke, fans have been speculating as to what the new team name will be. Owner Ryan Smith announced that the team will have Utah in the name instead of Salt Lake City and will take his time on picking the team name.
Ryan Smith won't rush into a new team name. It will be Utah as opposed to Salt Lake City in the team name, that much has been decided. But as far as the nickname, SEG will take their time with it, even if it means starting next season without new nickname...
While there is a chance they begin the season as the Utah hockey club, they also filled trademarks on a few others names meaning nothing is set in stone just yet.
