The AHL has delivered their judgment on a perilous collision involving Adam Clendening and Bruins' up-and-comer Fabian Lysell during the third game of the playoffs.
Was It the Right Call?
Mark Divver from New England Hockey Journal broke the news:
''3-game suspension for Hartford's Adam Clendening for hit on Fabian Lysell in Game 3.''
The controversial hit was tardy, forceful, and caused injury to Lysell, who will be missing game four as well.
The AHL Player Safety Committee issued the subsequent statement about the collision:
Clendening received a two-game suspension under the provisions of AHL Rule 28 (supplementary discipline), as well as an automatic one-game suspension under the provisions of AHL Rule 23.6 for accumulating his second game misconduct in the ‘'physical fouls'' category this season.
