Bruins Recall 5 Players from the AHL on Emergency Basis

The Boston Bruins have revealed that several players from the AHL have been urgently recalled ahead of their game in Philadelphia on Sunday.

Earlier today, the team announced that five players from the Providence Bruins have been called up. According to Bruins PR:

''BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, April 9, that the team has recalled forwards Vinni Lettieri and Oskar Steen, defensemen Jack Ahcan and Connor Carrick, and goaltender Brandon Bussi from Providence on an emergency basis.''

While nothing is confirmed, many Bruins could benefit from additional rest as the season winds down. However, they are also just one win away from achieving the best single-season record in NHL history. Ideally, this feat should be accomplished with all key players who contributed to their success in the lineup.
