Samuel Asselin, a forward who spent the past four seasons with the Boston Bruins' AHL affiliate in Providence, has a new temporary home. The undrafted player from Repentigny, Quebec, Canada, has inked a PTO (professional tryout) deal with the New York Islanders.
During his 166 games with the Providence Bruins, he contributed 23 goals and 42 assists, totaling 65 points. Additionally, Asselin showcased his skills during the 2019-20 season in the ECHL with the Atlanta Gladiators, where he notched 26 goals and 26 assists, amounting to 52 points in 53 games.
