Tuukka Rask Shares an Unusual Tradition He Always Followed

Many players and goalies tend to switch up their gear quite often, sometimes even within a single season. But when it comes to Bruins Hall-of-Fame goaltender Tuukka Rask, he took a different route � a path of consistency.

In stark contrast to his fellow goalie Tim Thomas, who seemed to have an ever-rotating collection of pads, Rask stuck to his trusty gear. As he humorously put it during an interview on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast, "Tim would have like a garage full of pads."

You could say Rask was firmly rooted in his gear, finding comfort and reliability in it. In his own words,

"the equipment guys are like, 'Come on, like, get yourself some new, you know, chest pads.' I'm like... no, no, no, I'm good."
