Even though it's his first playoff run in a nine-year career, Tyler Bertuzzi has quickly become an essential asset for the Boston Bruins.
Making History
In just his first four postseason appearances, Bertuzzi has notched 2 goals and 4 assists against the Florida Panthers. This impressive performance puts the new Bruin in the esteemed company of franchise legends.
Tyler Bertuzzi joined Joe Juneau (4 GP in 1992), Craig Janney (4 GP in 1988), Ken Smith (4 GP in 1945) and Bill Cowley (4 GP 1936 to 1937) as the fifth player in Bruins history to collect a point in each of his first four career playoff games.
Bertuzzi's impact on the team has been evident, regardless of his linemates, since joining Boston. It certainly doesn't hurt that his style of play is a perfect fit for Bruins postseason hockey.
