According to insider Frank Seravalli, Torey Krug will likely be bought out of his contract with the Blues which will make him a free agent this summer.
Krug is now 33 years old and has become a liability defensively but is still production on offense as he had 39 points in 77 games but ended the season with a -31 +/- rating.
If the Bruins are able to get Krug at a cheap price, it might make sense to bring him back to use on one of the powerplays next season.
It will be interesting to see what Sweeney does over the summer as their are 9 spots that have to be filled out for the start of next season.
