Bettman issues strange statement towards entire NHL

Gary Bettman and the NHL have released a strange statement during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Bettman announced that no NHL team will be allowed to make a trade during the cup finals which is why there will likely be a flood of trades once it finishes.
If the season ends tonight there is a chance we see a flood of moves by Monday. The league has gently nudged teams to let the Stanley Cup finish before they make any moves. While not enforceable the league has offered a suggestion to let the Cup be handed out without distraction.
While no teams can complete a trade, they are likely still discussing them and just waiting for the finals to end before announcing them.
