Tim Thomas, the renowned goalie who led the Boston Bruins to their 2011 Stanley Cup win, is making a comeback.

On 'Bear Tracks,' a Boston Bruins social media show hosted by Eric Russo, Thomas shared his excitement for the upcoming season's Bruins' Centennial celebration.
"I'm excited," Thomas said from Barre, Vermont. "Meeting old teammates and joining the Bruins' events is something I look forward to."

Thomas and Russo recently helped rebuild YouthBuild's facility in Barre, damaged by floods.
"It's been rewarding," Thomas told Russo. "YouthBuild makes a positive impact, guiding young individuals toward a brighter future. It's been great to help."

YouthBuild empowers young adults aged 16 to 24 with vocational training.
At 49, Thomas has emerged from challenges post-retirement, finding new energy. After retiring with the Dallas Stars in 2013-14, he resurfaced at his US Hockey Hall of Fame induction in 2019, sharing a revealing brain scan.
"I'm private," Thomas said in 2019. "My endeavors remain confidential."

Thomas' quick exit from the Bruins came via trade to the New York Islanders in 2012-13. His subsequent stints with the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars added to his journey.
Initially uncertain about returning to Boston, Thomas reflected in 2019:
"I'm in a different place."

Now, the goalie who lifted Boston to victory in 2011 is reconnecting with an eager fan base.
