In a season where Linus Ullmark is likely to secure the Vezina Trophy, it's possible that he has also played his final game with the Boston Bruins.
Rumors are swirling that Ullmark might be leaving Boston after the season ended in disappointment and two consecutive substandard performances by the goaltender.
Is Ullmark Leaving Boston?
The past two seasons have concluded in a similar fashion for the Bruins. As reported by Jimmy Murphy from Boston Hockey Now, a credible NHL source disclosed that teams may be inquiring about Ullmark, much like last off-season.

Murphy shares the following:
''Teams called on Ullmark last summer and I can tell you that they at least listened to trade offers on Ullmark because the team I was working for then was one of the teams calling on him,'' the source told Boston Hockey Now on Tuesday morning. ''We figured why not try after he had a shaky playoff series and they had Swayman on the rise with his contract up this offseason. Ullmark is at a doable cap hit for most teams. I could see him moved this offseason.''
It seems absurd to trade a 29-year-old who posted a 40-6-1 record with a 1.89 GAA and .938 save percentage in 2022-23, doesn't it?
However, his partner in the net, Jeremy Swayman, was also impressive. The much younger 24-year-old goaltender recorded a 24-6-4 season with a 2.27 GAA and .920 save percentage.
As a pending restricted free agent, Swayman will be more affordable for the Bruins, with only an $876K qualifying offer due.
Additionally, 24-year-old Brandon Bussi has made significant strides within the Bruins' prospect pool in 2023.
