The Bruins have announced this morning that rookie Matt Poitras should be back on the ice this month.
Poitras got injured on January 9th against the Coyotes after colliding with defenseman Sean Durzi. It was announced a few days later that he would need season ending shoulder surgery.
This morning, the Bruins announced that the 20 year-old forward will be returning to the ice some time in the month of April.
Poitras was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2022 draft by the Bruins and was having a solid 1st season in the NHL. The rookie forward put up 15 points in 33 games before his shoulder injury.
Hopefully Poitras continue to recover quickly and will be ready to go for the beginning of next season.
