Later today, the Boston Bruins will be facing the Philadelphia Flyers. After defeating the Habs in their most recent 2-1 overtime victory, the Bruins seem to be on their a-game as they prepare to attempt another win under their belt before the end of the season.

The Bruins have been showing team after team what they are made of, as they now rank 2nd in the Atlantic division with 68 games played, 38 wins and 14 losses. As they prepare strategies for the upcoming Flyers game, Bruins player James van Riemsdyk will be a familiar face set to go against his previous allegiance; Philadelphia. Van Riemdyk played for the Flyers throughout five straight seasons starting in 2018, while originally being drafted by the team back in 09 where he played there until 2012.

The Bruins are back home to take on the Flyers as James van Riemsdyk will be honored for milestone of 1,000 NHL game.

Tonight's game will officially be his 1000th game played in the NHL, while both fans and the two teams involved can do nothing but feel proud of his long and fruitful career. Although the two teams will be battling it out, the game will be a respectful match between two teams who honor James Van Riemsdyk's newest NHL milestone.
