In response to the ongoing state of emergency caused by severe flooding in New York, the NHL has acted swiftly regarding tonight's originally scheduled game.

Massive flooding has led to a state of emergency declaration in New York, prompting both the New York Rangers and the New York Islanders to jointly announce the rescheduling of their game, initially slated for tonight.

"Due to the flooding and the state of emergency declared by New York State, the matchup between the New York Islanders and the New York Rangers at UBS Arena tonight has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. at UBS Arena."
